Ask to be shown all the different types of plans and terms
available. When selecting a plan make sure that the coverage
selected is
right for the vehicle you are purchasing, based on your specific
needs.
DEDUCTIBLE
Understand what deductible will apply to your contract. Know
if there is one deductible for an entire repair visit or does
each component group require a deductible?
REPAIR FACILITY
Are there any restrictions on which repair facility you may take
your vehicle for repairs?
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
Understand your responsibilities for service and maintenance.
(Most Vehicle Service Contracts do not cover routine maintenance.)
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
Know if your vehicle service contract has coverage (or reimbursement)
for the following items: towing, rental car and emergency road
service, etc.
TRANSFER/CANCELLATION
Make sure your vehicle service contract can be transferred or
cancelled.
INSURANCE CARRIER
Ask if the program is insured, the name of the insurer
and what A.M. Best rating the insurer currently holds.
